are you guys using synthetic?

I am also wondering and dont want to make another thread but how close do you need to be to 5000 miles. Ive read that 5-7500 was good but I have not heard anything with evidence

Synthetic can easily go past 7500 miles, but the oil filter will probably need changing at 7500 miles if you want to keep running past that.

Regular oil has proved to last 7500 miles too, but most people won't run it beyond 5k.

I personally run Mobil 1 full synthetic and just change it every 7500 miles. You can get a 6qt pack pretty cheap at Costco.

First off...synthetic isn't necessary at all. 2nd...just tell the dealer you want the basic oil change not the fancy inspections etc. and you should be out the door for about 50 bucks. Lastly, if you add your own service entries to Lexus.com they will only be available to you and not any future owners. However, you could always print off the service history before you sold the car. Good luck on finding cheap oil changes...I would rather have Lexus do them and charge me a little more as I feel I would stand a much better chance at having Lexus repair a ding/scape than Jiffy Lube.

I get my oil changes done at the Toyota dealer near my work. The most i've paid is $29 plus tax and that includes the oil and filter. Not synthetic obviously.
