Default DIY Cup holder question

I am currently CF wrapping my interior, and I stumbled across a problem.
I was wondering how did you guys remove this piece for the cup holder?

I couldn't find anything about it, because everyone just simply shows a picture of it already removed!
Im scared to break anything so any tips would help! Thanks!

the wood trim is just glued down just take something flat and pop it off
