Congrats on new purchase, welcome to CL. The previous owner is def Color blind or blind period, that is without a doubt a TP.

Looks like TP... you can get the paint code off your car if look at the label by your door pillar. Then google search it.

Maybe he wanted to justify a premium on the price, provided there was one (?), considering white cars (along with black) usually sell for slightly more?
