But another member just said it couldn't be the gas. Maybe multiple possible causes..

I had a bad exhaust / burnt oil smell in mine. Took it in and ended up being a leaking valve cover seal.

Would that be done under warranty? Last time when I was changing my spark plugs, the spark plug on the driver side closest to the cabin had oil on it and the back of my engine felt wet when I reached back there. I didn't think it was a problem since the oil level on the dipstick never changes between oil changes.

my oil level didn't show any loss either. the service guy said the leak was minor, but still there. and YES it was replaced under warranty.

somebody said fill only at the good brand gas station - damnn right!! I filled at shell V-power and no freakin smell noticed since that, even when I floored it!!! The engine throttle is more responsive and the car is kinda faster!! I Love V-power from yesterday!!

No such thing as gas causing a sulphur smell. Not related. This is a possible catalytic converter or emissions issue. I've used premium fuel from the top brands since new and my car still makes the odor after aggressive acceleration.

If its an 06, there is a tsb for it. Look on lexustsb.com and you will find it. I too have the problem but i took it in to late and they won't fix it cuz I'm out of warranty, so they said I had to pay $1200 to fix

Could this be caused by high pressure fuel pump? I have recall for high pressure fuel pump but except this bad smell car is running great.
