Plastidip enhancers for emblem

It looks more graphite than black. Am I right? I would imagine that over a narrower surface it wouldn't show as textured as yours did. I plan on doing plasti-dip and glossifier over my chrome doorsills.

When I redo-it, I'll post pics... hopefully the finish will come out smoother and be more mirror like. idk, wishful thinking again? lol

I don't think your 2nd attempt will change the outcome of smoothness. Plastidip has a natural texture to it, even if you add a glossifier finish on top of it, it is still bonding to the plastidip texture under it and conforming to its shape.

Ive used regular gloss clearcoat over plastidip on my old FX. It worked great on the emblems, side times, and wheels for the year I had it.
Also sprayed wheels on my porsche with plastidip, then painted over that, then cleared over that. Also worked great as a totally removeable solution

Here's a picture of the silver metalizer with plenty of coats. It can range from dark dark dark grey with barely any flakes to bling bling sparkle(which is what the picture shows). It ends up being a faux glossy look(it's still pretty matte, didn't match well with the car but emblems might be minimal enough) and is nowhere near true black chrome, that's why I ended up scrapping that idea and going real black chrome. I've fiddled with the glossifier and it does work pretty well but it won't have a wet glossy look but definitely glossier than regular plastidip. Any questions just ask!
