Default chances of bending 19" rims?

im considering getting 19's with 235/35/19 tires but i'm worried that the tires are gonna be to skinny. Where I live there are a good amounts of potholes. Ive bent my 18" rims in the past with 225/40/18 tires on my last car.

With 19's you are gonna have to avoid any pot holes/ curbs 100% especially with low profile tires

19's will be worse due to a lower profile tire.
How much worse?I don't know.

I would say if you have bent an 18 wheels it will be easier to bend 19.

I have been rolling with 19s with 235/35/19 in the past two years until this winter i decided to put on the stockies
drive slow, avoid potholes as much as possible....
i've driven the car around the tri-state and bent/cracked rims around 3-4 times...
sometimes you get lucky
but then you hit potholes hard enough you get that "bam!!!" and you know something is going to go wrong...
and watch out for curbs also... i cut one of my tires because a truck going really fast was behind me and i was going into a gas station... =\

I have 19s with 225/35 and 235/35. I don't know how much better or worse road conditions are here in CA than NY but I've hit potholes pretty hard before and my rims withstood the impact. I do have nicks here and there. Just don't curb them

I have 19" 225/35 and 255/35 - I have not bent a rim yet but I am always on the lookout for potholes.

Depends on the type of rim. Some are stronger than others. Forged rims resist bending unlike cast rims. However, if you hit a pothole hard enough with a forged rim, instead of bending, it will crack.
Also, rims with large spokes are usually more resistaant than thin spoked rims.

Depends on ow yo drive, what you hit and how soft the wheel is. I'm on 30 series tires. I wouldn't not get wheels just cause I was scared.

with the new trend of running tires that are 10 sizes too small for the wheels they are on to create a vatos locos pep boys truck look it will be easy to bend the rim. But if you get some 19x9.5 and 19x8.5 wheels with 275/30/19 rear and 235/35/19 front, you should be fine if you don't buy cheapo rims.

Forged wheel bends but won't crack. Vice versa for casted wheel. The forging process makes the molecular structure to flow in the uniform pattern and thus stronger but not brittle characteristic of material.

Mesh rim (BBS Style) usually be the most strongest compared to larger-and-less spokes design (e.g., Five spokes design) because more spokes mean better impact distribution over the rim. Due to Large-and-less spoke design, the rim will be subjected to higher uneven load distribution across the the circumference under the impact.
