Default Projector retrofit, how to remove projector?

Haven't quite got very far... I'm just wondering how you retrofitters remove the oem projector? I can see screws behind the shroud but cant remove the shroud. Any suggestions?

If the halogen shroud is anything like the HID shroud, it should have 3 clips holding it on, one at the top in the middle, and two at the bottom, one on each side. Just unclip them and it should pull off. The halogen projector is held into the frame with 3 screws, 2 at the top and one at the bottom.

Thank you for the reply... How do I undo the clips? Just pull straight towards me?

One of my lights have no back covers. Dust and humidity got inside and as a result it got a bit yellow inside.

What did you do to remove the front lenses? How will you put them back and have them completly sealed for no leakage?
That's what I need to do to get mines cleaned out.
Is it complicated?

Thanks for the info.

There's 3 screws that connect the black cover to the clear lens. Remove those, then bake in the over for 15mins at 200 degrees. It pulls apart but you have to work your way around and unhook the clips. Not for the feint of heart.

What will you be using to reseal the headlights? Nissan has some seal glue but it's pricey for what it is.

When I see people do it this way I . The best method is a heat gun and it's what I use when I do retrofits.

Yeah I use a blow dryer on the edges and hard to pry spots. Oven works great if you keep the temp at 200, I wouldn't go any higher.

When most of us have no heating gun because it may not serve us many purposes, who will predict that a conventional oven will not only be used to cook/bake foods but also 21st Century Headlights.
Thank Goodness for the inventors of ovens.

I've done it both ways and I find I prefer using the oven.

The advantage to the heat gun is you only heat up the rear section where the lense meets the housing. Once you heat up a a corner and it starts to pry apart you run the heat gun to the next section and presto.

I can personaly pull apart an IS headlight in about 5-10 min. with my gun once I unscrew the hardware that needs to come off.
