I'm a pretty tame driver. The max I did was 70 some odd. Had my speed-reminders (orange rings) set at 70 mph and at 3000 RPM.

How about you guys/gals? What's the fastest you pulled off in your cars?

110 driving my car home from the dealer after I purchased it. Only because my mom flew past me in her S Class Benz so I thought she was trying to race. She called after we slowed the cars down and said "I just wanted to see how it looks going down the road. It's sexy." haha.

I had no clue about the colored speedo rings so it freaked me out.

145 mph. There is a stretch of I-75 just south of where I live, about 40 miles long and 3 lanes wide and all freshly paved. A buddy of mine has an Audi TT and he said he did the stretch in 24 minutes and I wanted to see if I could top it.

I did it in 22 minutes.

So is what I was told about the IS being speed limited by the computer at 138 not true? Or is the speed limiter set higher. I would think they would have put Z rated tires on these cars if there was no speed limiter.

^It'll go higher, but it'll pull itself back to 142 after you pass it. I hit 144 racing a 335i on I5. LOL.

i did 130, was cooked first time and i thought i did 145 because i was cooked and more concentrated on the road and then did a couple more time without being cooked and realized it was 130. first time was against a bmw and r35 but of course i got spanked by the r35 lolx other times was against my friends.

I went 130 one time. Some Audi A6 decided to go around me thinking I was too slow when I was already going 70. He cut me off and took off and I took off for fun as well. He ended up going past 140 and I decided to just slow down, didn't want to get caught going 80+ over the limit.
