Default IS250 HID Bulbs

I have one headlight out on my 2007 IS250. I learned today that it was the HID bulb.

I have priced it at $210 and $230 at two different Lexus dealers. I found a listing on eBay for the following - "Philips Germany D4S XenEco 42402 Xenon HID BULBS BULB LIGHT LAMP GENUINE OEM NEW."

(link) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Philips-Germ...item519cb91193

Given the price difference, I am hoping this would be an acceptable substitute. Thoughts? Other suggestions?

Much thanks!

I had one go out as well. I went to my local shop and the guy was able to find me one for like $120. Definitely no need to pay $200 imo.

If one is going that high like 200+ then might as well get a new set of Philips Ultinon 6000K from either forum CL forum vendors like Nigel-JDMParts and XenonDepot.

Are the Philips Ultinon D2S the blue bulbs or can they also come in white? No worries on compatibility with my vehicle?

You'd need Ultinon D4S, not D2S. Ultinon is Philip's line of bulbs with higher Kelvin (e.g. 6000K). The 6000K, from what I hear, is pretty white. Keep in mind it's actually less lumens than a standard OEM HID bulb.

Philips Ultinon D2S is will not work in our cars as they need to be D4S. They are both not physically and electrically compatible with each other. Now if you had the Lexus Japan's HID fog kit, which uses D2S, that's a different story.

For Ultinon in D4S, come in either 5000K or 6000K. Their 6000K is pretty much pure white.
