I think it's the right decision especially since I have had an IS250 sedan before and the IS250c. The 350 will be a lot of fun. I will place the order today and then the long wait of 3 months will start. It's a custom order for the Southern region, they don't order the USB with Fsport package in a 350.
That was another hard decision because I could have the same specs in an IS250 immediately.
I love my FJ I am driving now so the wait won't be bad.

If you can why not wait and special order in Aug a new generation '13?No doubt there will be a lot of improvements and new exterior and interior design.

I just ordered an IS350 with Luxury pkg and was told it would take 4 months from Jan 21 to reach the Port of LA and then 2-3wks to truck it to TX.

Hopefully you can get yours sooner!

350 - and if you ask yourself why, get one anyway. and when you drive it off the lot, and get on that free way, ask yourself "why did I ask such a silly question?"

350 I think is a great decision man. I just ordered mine TMS company lease 2 months ago... still waiting on it to come in from Japan, but it should be here soon. I got virtually the same setup as you (fsport pkg, exhaust, suspension, nav(no ML though), park assist, etc.), just in black - which I am finding is a bit rare. I was stuck for a long time in the same decision between the 350 and the F - and ultimately decided with the 350. The $ difference wasn't quite as small though
In any case - the 350 will be a sick car - 100 extra hp for 50 bucks a month? thats like.. a whole Corolla! Haha jk - but seriously... 100 HP!!!

Good luck, and let us know how the ordering goes - (yes - even those of us fortunate enough to have the TMS hookups still LOVE these things!)

350 is a good choice if you're looking for power and driving locally. For a daily driver if driving long distance and power is not important, then the 250 would fit the bill.

One reason why I choose the 250 over the 350 for long distance + mpg. Also because I wanted something comparable to a 99 Solara Camry 3.0 V6 which also had about 200 HP back in the day.

They're the same car, except one has 100 more HP and will get a few MPG less on average than the other, depending on driving style.

Is it worth the extra money? Well, do you value performance? If you don't value performance and only want the IS for the looks/interior/reliability/luxury/etc, then don't bother.

However, if you value performance, then you've answered this question. And judging from your signature and all the F-Sport performance parts you added to your 250C, it appears to me you value performance. For only $600 per year, you get 50% more HP. Nowhere in the car world will you find the opportunity to boost your HP by 50% with no downsides for that low a price.

Again, there's no mystery here. 200 HP or 300 HP?
Calvin2376 - you must be in sales...

And for the OP - good luck with your 350!! I'm sure you'll love it!

For an extra 50 bucks go with the 350. Def for power and speed. Love my 350.

We chose a 250 because of a long daily commute and $6500 dollars difference. My wife averages 27-29 mpg and power means nothing to her.

I vote 350, just because it's more fun.

07 They added the shark fin on roof, disable traction control button, and bigger illuminated gas+trunk buttons.

08 They carved deeper slits in the front seat backs for more rear passenger leg room, adjusted the steering, and changed the OEM rims from hyper silver to liquid graphite.

09 They updated slightly the front and back bumpers and lights. Changed driver side switches. I think they adjusted the steering again. Rims changed to "lobster claw" style.

10 They updated the Nav from DVD based to USB and updated the interface. Added silver trim to steering wheel and glove box. Updated the front and backs again.

11 I don't know lol. Rim style changed to 5 spokes?

12 They they changed the color of temperature switches from green to red for heat, blue for cold.

I'd get an 08+. Someone correct me on this info?
