Very nice write up, i'm sure this will help others that may have accidentally broken theirs and don't feel like giving the dealer a crazy amount of money to fix it!

Great write up! Does anybody know if you can just replace the broken linkage instead of gluing it back together? If so, is there a part number for it?

^ I tried to find a part number on Sewell, but as far as I could tell it only comes as a part of an expensive assembly.

quick question so if you change ur cabin filter you first leave it in non-recirculating right??

thanks for this. now i know mine as been messed up since i bought it. i always wondered what that little, white plastic arm was that fell out of my dash one day... i guess i've been in recirc the whole time.

Mine has been broke for 6 months and never knew what the plastic part that fell out from under my dash was!!! I never attempted to change/clean the in-cabin air filter, so the previous owner must have done the same thing. And my part is broken at just the angle the OP's is. Now I know what it is and how to fix it!!! Thanks...Great write up!!

A simple sticker put on the filter door by Lexus could have prevented 99% of these from being broken lol
