Just noticed a small dent same as 1st post. But about a half the size. If any bigger it would bother me. It wasn't there before. But noticed it after a hit a curb going 50 at a curve. Maybe that's what did it.

My repair was done about a month ago and no it has not re-appeared. Stock ISF suspension which is stiffer than 2IS suspension.

I also have the dent where most people have it. My car is lowered. I noticed it a year ago and i thought a soccer ball had hit my roof or something......

Default This happened to my car

I had the same dent on my IS350. When I took it to Sewell Lexus body shop they said this dent happens when you drive your car fast over a hole in the street or uneven road in general. The weight of the sun roof will make this happen. Most of the time when this happen some damage will happen to your car front hood too. It won’t close even on either the right or left side.

Sounds to me like Toyota needs to design a stronger unibody. A car shouldn't literally get "bent out of shape" by simply driving it over a pothole or uneven pavement.

My 07 is350 has exactly the same dent.

In my case it is made by cat jumping from a rooftop to my car !

we have to many cats free on streets down here in Saudi Arabia. And they scratch the paint jobs too....

I have this same exact dent, and Ive seen it on other ones too. Idk what could cause this. Maybe the sunroof is too heavy or the metal is too thin. Hmmmm what to do what to do...

I just found my dent maybe two weeks ago, I was completely lost on how the heck it got there. Lexus should do something to fix this as it appears more than just a couple of us have this dent.

I'm taking my car in next week for the cam gear TSB and will talk to them about this. I see that most of you aren't under warranty, but I still am. I have dents on both sides of the roof, and suspect that it's due to chassis flex.

Regardless of what they say, I'm buying a chassis brace and rear sway bar before having it fixed, and will let everyone know if it re-appears. I drive pretty hard and take rough, curvy backroads to/from work everyday, so I think that if flex is the culprit, I'll be a prime candidate to see them show up again if they're going to.
