new to lexus, have a fuel issue
So I just bought a 2009 IS250 last weekend. Really nice car. Loving it so far.
When I got it from the dealer last week they said they were going to fill up the tank for me and send me on my way. I noticed when I got in the car the tank was only reading 3/4 full. I just figured they didn't fill it up all the way. No big deal. But today When I fill up for the first time from "Empty" it only went to 3/4 full again. It also only took 11 gal of gas. So anyone have a fix for this or did I just get a car with a mechanical issue?

not sure exactly how much the cost was. But about 11 gal cost about 30 bucks or so in nor cal. I understand that it's about a 15 gal tank. So i know 11 gal isn't right and neither is 3/4 full on the gas hand.

it's not full by no means. the range miles are 270 right after i filled it up. Yes the pump shut off thinking it was full i guess. Only thing i can think of is that is was full and the full guage/sensor is off. meaning 3/4 is full and "empty" is 1/4 left in the tank.

could have been.. like i said not exactly sure how much it was.. about 3.50 a gal or so. So I guess like 38 bucks. either way it's not full on the gauge.

it was a chevron. you could be right who knows. I didn't fill like trying to put more gas in it and have it spill everywhere but maybe i'll try that anyway just to see if it cut off to soon or it's actually reading wrong
