Headlight Blackout and IS-C Bumper Project

The 2011 F-Sport front-bumper looks NICE!! However, I have not seen anyone perform that conversion with a 2006-2008 IS350, so I did not want to take the chance of having something not fit and losing money in process. I have seen a few members on CL perform the IS-C conversion and really liked the outcome. The IS-C bumper has a more mild aggressive look (kind of goes well with the 2IS lines). The F-Sport bumper just seems a little too extreme in styling, and would look good with aggressive matching sideskirts, and rear bumper add-ons. I did not want to go that far, but I think it really comes down to what else you are planning to do (body work-wise). Let us know what you decide, I believe there are alot of ppl out there who are on the edge of swapping F-Sport bumpers but would like to see how it looks first before doing so....I know I was

The last parts are finally here (with the exception of the fog-lights as they are on back order until January 18th). These parts are all the trim, screws, bolts, washers, clips, pins, bumper/radiator guards, felts, and plastics that are need to complete the conversion. The first pic is obviously of the actual parts, and the second pic is of the IS-C diagram with part numbers. Some parts I did not need on the diagram as I already had in good shape like the license plate post, and inner rubber guards, etc... I will post a list of all the parts used and their corresponding part numbers for those interested in doing the same swap (completely). The bumper is ready for paint tomorrow, and I will try and take pics of step-by-step installation of this bumper (with the exception of paint, and removal of old bumper). Have a Happy and Safe New Year everyone!

Hey guys, I got the bumper finally painted....now just waiting for the last pieces of the fog light assembly, and I will start to put everything together. I have not installed the bumper absorber yet as I am waiting for OEM double-sided adhesive to install first before the absorber. Sorry the car is a bit dusty... Here are a few pics of the painted bumper:

There is definitely a noticeable difference in shine as the bumper is fresh clear coat and the car has years of washing and swirl marks, etc... The color is a very close match, but I think it will look much better once it is exposed to the environmental elements (rain, snow, sun, etc...).
