Default Headlight bulb stopped working...but not burnt

Very confused. Have PIAA xtreme whites for my halogens. One bulb is not working...ive done some troubleshooting - the bulb is not turning on. it wont turn on when connected to the other headlight wiring. and when swapped with stock bulb, the stock bulb works. so its clearly an issue with this one PIAA bulb.

yet, the problematic PIAA bulb does turn on occasionally. and the filament is absolutely not burnt. the bulb looks to be in the exact same condition as the other working PIAA bulb.

i popped open the casing of the H11 housing, and everything seems to be in order.

what the heck is going on??? ( i have had the set of bulbs for 11 months)

maybe just the bulb died. something from the manufacturing, or even the quality of the material that day. just try and get a new one. sometimes it happens.

Did you try swapping the good bulb to the other side?

After market whiter bulbs don't last nearly as long as the stock bulbs.
11 months is about right. Some last even less.
They average 250-350 hours of operation.

Thanks...yup swapped it around. Its out, althoug the filament is still intact. Ifunny, I put back in the stock, and its not so much different than the other 11 month old hyperwhite. Makes we wonder if I should even bother spending the cash to buy another set of aftermarket halogens....would like to get a hid kit, but its a lease and I don't want to drill

You don't have to drill, I have a slim ballast kit and it fit into the headlight housing. Right behind the bulb.
