Default 2009+ Sport Package vs. Non-Sport Package Steering

Just wondering if anyone has driven any 09+ 2IS models back to back with and without the Sport Package and can tell me what difference they noticed in the steering feel between them?

The non-Sport Package 09+ cars use the same power steering computer as the 06-08 cars, but the Sport Package 09+ cars have a different part number. I was just wondering if perhaps it reduced the steering assist or in some other way improved the feel.

I have a set of factory Sport Suspension coming for my car, and have already installed the F-Sport sway bar set. I figured if the computer can help as well, I may order one and try it out. Just wanted a bit of confirmation first.

Thanks!

Jeff

I am wondering the same thing! I know the part numbers are different, but not sure about if that's the only thing that have been changed. Please let me know about your findings, if it is compatible and the steering feel is heavier, than I might do it as well..

If the 09 f sport package is anything like the '11 f sport package then it does not come with a steering damper. However sewell sells the ISF steering damper that fits perfectly in the ISx50 and makes quite a difference in the steering feel. PLUS its only like $25 bucks!

First post FTW! More comming from me ,)

Steering damper has nothing to do with the sport suspension, it's in IS F, IS C, and IS350 AWD. I'm mostly concerned with the ECU for now.
