My "Ricer" Lowered and Growling
So I lowered my brandy new 2011 IS 350 F using H&R Springs yesterday. Drove my daily commute today (180mi) and all I can say is if you have not done this DO IT. The ride is soo much better IMO. I was concerned it would be harsher - not sure what the F Sport package does to the suspension and if this change would be the same on a non F Sport but this thing feels so much better and looks awesome. Also, lowering the car was a piece of cake (hated compressing 8 springs)... I have ADD so I did not pay attention to the left rear ride height sensor and had to flip it over after my check headlight system alert came on...
I also added the F Sport exhaust and cold air intake. Both were also very easy to install. I have heard people say it is too loud on the highway - I did not think it was much different since the car going 80 MPH was only hitting 2.3K revs (sounded the same as stock). Going up hills it sounds a bit stupid - moaning all the way up around 3.5K revs. BUT when on the gas over 3.5K revs is sounds great. I'll keep it on...
My wife came out today and told me I now own a "RICER" LMAO. Guess so....
