Honda Civic vs Lexus IS250?
My friend wanted to race me next week. He has a Fifth generation Honda civic with an exhuast, I think 2001-2005. I have a lexus is250 with an HKS exhuast. Im just wondering who do you guys think has the better chance of winning? Since the is only has 206 HP will it have a chance?

STAY OFF THE STREETS... race on track as everyone suggest.
It's not worth the gas... give him the stats below to shut him up.
LOL... if it's a base Civic, then he's pretty over-confident of his car
This one is a no brainer... race him for pink slip and you get to own a daily driver. I'm assuming you are in RWD... not AWD. AWD is a bit slower because of weight and drivetrain loss.
Turn off stability control, keep the ECT on Normal mode... then brake torque the car to about 1.5 K RPM. When it's go time, release brake and mash down the gas.
If it's a Civic Si that you are racing, then prepare to walk home on foot. Civic Si has advantage since it has about same HP but it weighs less.
Stats:
2012 Honda Civic EX Sedan 0-60 mph 8.8 Sec Quarter Mile 16.6
2007 Lexus IS 250 0-60 mph 7.4 Quarter Mile 15.6
You should be able to clobber him... U have a second advantage. Even if he was in a coupe it's 0-60 time is only .5 second faster than the Sedan leaving it at 8.3. Pretty much comes down to your skill vs his.
