Send this guy my way. I'll make him want to drive his car off a cliff. You should not lose any race unless you guys do start with an 80 roll.

You can just look at dragtimes of G37s. They range from 13.7-14.2 seconds (non boosted)

Whereas, IS350 ranges from 12.8-14 seconds...
My friend has an '09 G37S six speed, sedan, and I raced him, both stock. We only tried from a stop, about 8 races, 4 good ones, and I won most of them by a couple car lengths at most. I I have an '06, I did the pedal dance to disable VSC. I tried t brake-revving and idle too.

Try racing them on a roll. They are monstrous..

Does anyone know at what rpm the transmission shifts to 5th gear, when on ECT Normal and transmission in D? The top speed of 4th is 125 mph, and I haven't gotten that high in a while, so don't remember.

Best way to race on a roll is to put it to S and downshift to the lowest gear possible. Then when you punch it you switch it back to D.

I know that, that's not what I was asking. I'm just wondering if it shifts at 6700 rpm from 4th to 5th, or if it's somewhere earlier, while in D.

Thanks for the feedback, now i will be sure to limit the amount of gas to 1/4 tank. 30 psi on the tires, take the spare out of the trunk and disable vsc. As far as his ego, he is just like that, he brags about his car almost everywhere he goes, constantly comparing it over other peoples vehicles, especially mine.....I'll be happy thinking about the look on his face when he sees my car pulling ahead of him. ;-)

I think you can win if you race up to 110mph from 0mph.

at stop light a g37s 6sp manual had rolling start (@5-10mph est) and I was at stop.
He punched it right before the green light from a car length behind me.
yeap, he and I was looking at other intersection's light.
I didn't want to get behind so I did it but without revving, my traction/vsa was ON. because i didn't think he would tried to beat me.
He quickly gained a car length and it was hard for me to beat him but I could get my front fender to his driver's door. Everytime when he shifts, I could gain a feet by feet.
@95 ish mph my bumper was still on his door, when we passed 105mph, he gave up. ^^

There is too many thing to compare:
1. Driver
2. Tires
3. Time reaction
