I normally keep my cars for good five years. During that time, save some dough, sell car and buy something newer. Kind of like leasing a car but in the contrary, I always own it because I buy cash. My 06 is just close to be sold if I get the right price. Will get the same is250 but newer of course. I don't need power. I just feel that a nice luxury car is for driving it with luxury.Letting roll with class. If I need power, I would buy me a muscle car or possibly an American classic "Corvette".

Will be getting rid of mine as well in 15 months roughly. Not happy with all the recalls , issues with the car, how the dealership and Lexus corporate have handles me. Will get rid of my 350 for either a m5 or e63, which ever I find that suits he options I'm looking for. The IS was a stop gap till I get a better ride and more tunable, more parts if I wanted to fix it up. Fun caf to drive no doubt.

I was looking for something in comparable to 99 Camry Solara which I drove, which was 3.0L 200 HP V6. Stepping up, felt similar, even thou the Solara would of been slightly been more powerful, I gained the fuel economy and luxury car.

I was actually thinking about getting a 350...what kind of recalls are there? any advice on what year ('06-'09) would be the better option? thanks for the advice. . .

A good year range would have to be between late 09's and on...

I have an late 2007 IS350 full options and has not had any MAJOR issues that were could not be fixed by the dealer. However, it has had it's fair share of annoyances and voluntary recalls (which im surprised Toyota hasn't addressed yet). The overall quality is good and honestly, I would have gotten rid of the car wayyyyyy back had it not been for Lexus service. I mean, they do whatever it takes to fix the car....even if its a stupid squeak or rattle.

My advice, get an 09' and up IS350 with Navi (don't get the hard drive based version as it has a crappy GUI). Good Luck!

Well it is simple: 2007 model is now 4-5 years old and people are done with their lease term and are returning them. IS was one of the higher sellers in Lexus fleet back then, hence their post-lease availability now

I"m selling mine due to the fact that since I bought it I had nothing but problems with it, and since the warranty is now up and none of those issues are covered i'm posting it for sale or trading it it within the next few weeks.

I'd look for at least an 08 and up as well. The improvements in 07 where roof fin, addition of traction off button, and illuminated gas/trunk buttons, very minor.

For 08, they changed the front seat backs to give rear passengers moar room and changed the color of stock rims to liquid graphite. Improved steering feel. Also added a coin holder.

09s have minor front and rear bumper and interior changes and rims changed to "lobster claw style."

I think 08s have the most significant changes. You'd probably would want one with Luxury package as that's the most fully loaded one; HID, AFS head lights, rain sensing wipers, rear shade, tilt side mirrors, auto dimming rear view mirror, wood trim, heated/aired seats with memory settings, and illuminated door scuffs. I wanted an 08 but compromised for a 07.

As for IS250 problems, a major one is carbon build up. Makes the engine shake and stall. All IS's have front windshield trim cracking problems. No major issues with the 350s except some recalls and TSIB.
