Replace a 2006 Nav with 2010-2012 Nav?
I got a 2006 IS350, I'm thinking about buying an OEM 2010-2012 Nav and replacing my current 2006 one with it. I mainly just want bluetooth and better voice commands. Does anyone know if this is possible? Has anyone here tried this or have a link to a thread where this was done? Pictures of a finished product even?

I'd bet that will not work because Lexus/Toyota radios are year specific. If you already have a NAV radio for your 2006 you are better served looking at something like a grom V2.

I wouldn't bother worrying about voice commands unless you have something that supports Siri or Google Assistant, which I believe you'd need Grom's Vline for Carplay/Android Auto. If you don't care about carplay/aa, you can just get their BT3 module. I personally went with the BT3 module as I got tired of the wires. BT quality is fine on it. You can use it with the car's existing bluetooth so the end call/answer call buttons will still work, you just have to make sure your phone is connected to the car first then connect to the grom module.

i was planning on picking up the newer nav and paying an electrician to figure it out, if it didnt work they could always put the old one back in, and i could send back the newer one back. if it failed i wouldn't be out of that much money, but if it did work it would be history in the making

I don’t know how to post to here but my Lexus RX 300 is kicking the knock sensor code and Oil control valve code I replaced all of them and it’s still kicking the code it sounds like there is a leak on the valve somewhere between the gas tank and engine. Has anyone ever experienced this isssue?
