6sp33drwd, Did this mess up your door trim at all? I have a Yakima rack, but when I test fit it I felt like the clips interfered with the door trim. It just didn't feel like a great fit so I decided never to use it. I know the Thule is slightly different, but I'd imagine it is a similar concept where the clip is sandwiched between the top of the door and the car.

Did anybody here drove in the 80's? Does anybody remember those ski racks people had on their mini trucks or other vehicles. These cars looked like grass happers coming down the street. It was a trend somebody started but for sure those really nice rides did not carry them. I din't! That's were the classy was separated from the wanna b's.
Extra weight means less miles to your gas and possible damage to your car. Ruins the aerodynamics of the car.
If you rally use it go for it. I use my bike rack but take it off immediately.
