Default My new Smart Card + Saddleback wallet = Near Perfection! :)

I just got my new SmartAccess Card for my 06 IS250 from Sewell and got it programmed at my local dealer. It's sweeeeeeet! And I found the perfect wallet to compliment it (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024YXG10). It's a front pocket wallet. Here are pics of the Smart Card and wallet.

SmartCard in wallet - a bit thick but the wallet is stretching and hopefully will flatten out. I'm carrying 5 cards (3 credit/debit, 1 costco, 1 drivers license).

SmartCard out of wallet - size compared to wallet.

SmartAccess Card is about 2.5 credit cards thick.

Does that replace the key fob or do you have to still have the fob present?

Yeah, it replaces the key fob. The only thing is it doesn't have a backup key cause, I think, 06-07 IS keys don't fit. But it's great cause I don't need a key fob.

About $250 (plus shipping) at Sewell with CL discount. My dealer charged $65 to program it. I also printed out instructions for the dealer just in case from this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...o-the-car.html

Always wanted the smart card but can't bring myself to pay so much for a small card It's super convenient though - not needing the smart key anymore and just being able to have this in your wallet...but i dunno...lol

I was wondering how thick the card was, now I know. The only negative is that if your wallet is lost or stolen, then you have no car key either. Thanks for the info.

Is the smart card a lot thicker than a credit card? Couldn't really gage it from the pic. Also there obviously arent any buttons on it but has anyone who has one found it inconvenient because there isn't a trunk unlock key?

not sure if the cards vary from year-to-year but for the '11s they do have a "backup" key. in the first pic the key slides and locks into the slot and sits flush with the card. and both go in your wallet

2) get card programmed
