Default Used IS350. Good deal?

Looking at a 08 IS350 39,000 miles. It's silver w base package, not sure about 17" or 18" wheels, almost graphite colored, Navigation but no ML =(, rear camera, no memory seats, and unsure about HIDs.

Not a scratch/dent on it, no curb surf on the wheels. They're asking $28500, I got them down to $26500 out the door.

Hard to find 350s locally, especially in this condition.

Still feel like its a tad on the high side. Should I jump on this? Thoughts? Guidance?

Is this a competitive price for what I'm getting?

From what I can see that's out there on-line, it's about average.

26500 out the door!? So I assume this is a dealership vehicle? Is it Certified? Yea, thats a good deal then!

I'm looking at an '08 Sport with GFX, Sport Exhaust, ISP Wheels, Nav, ML, and tint with 49,500 (CPO) and the lowest I can get them to is 29K

Is it this one? http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

It sounds like a great deal. I got my '07 350 with 56k miles Certified about 6 months ago for $24,500, so considering yours has 17k less miles and is a year newer, yours at $26,500 is what I'd expect.

Here's what you need to do: read this thread very carefully - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...e-threads.html.

1) Check that particular car out for all the things listed under Common Issues on the 2IS.

2) Find out if it's still under any factory warranty.

3) Check the Carfax AND Autocheck, even if you have to pay for it. In the last month I've read 2-3 threads of people saying they checked one and it was clean so they bought the car, only to find it had severe accident damage that was actually shown on the other report.

4) Like it says in the thread, go to Lexus.com and get the dealer service history. Post it on here so people can check that it's gotten all the right TSIBs done.

I'm actually from STL and am here this week, so this piqued my curiosity. Let me know how it goes.

That's the one. Here's what I found on LEXUS.com. Cant find anything about TSIBs.

The 3 month gap between replacing pads and rotors to tow in concerns me. Also, I after viewing the buyers thread it's just got the PREMIUM PACKAGE because I dont see any power seats. Also, I think it only had 17" wheels. Thoughts??

At glance that car has the following options: premium, nav, rear spoiler, and 18" wheels. 100% for sure it does not have the sport package.

it might or might not have the following (but you can't tell just from the pics

HIDs
XM Radio

It definitely doesn't have:
Park Assist
PCS
Headlamp washers
Sport or Lux package
Mark Levinson

Look like it need some TSIBs to be done.
1. Fuel delivery
2. fuel sensor
there is some thing to do with power steering wheel system on 06 model but not sure about 08 model. You could ask your dealer about all TSIBs and get it done. they will give you loaner car if you buy it

if it does have seats memory, you will see L1 L2 L3 SET bottomS at driver door near window switch control and steering wheel will tint down or move forward when you turn the car on - it has electronic control switch on the left side of steering wheel(usually come with luxury package - including ML system)

for HID, you better go with after market kit (cheaper) most of us have after market kit and it's working good. there is also DIY for HID on here somewhere. search for it

If it has nav it will have HIDs that is the combo for 2008. Typically if it is a 350 it will have HIDs even if it doesn't have nav. Either way you are good for HIDs.

If 26500 is what you're paying OTD and its CPO you're getting a freakin steal.

I bought almost exactly the same car in Feb of this year CPO w/ 31k for $30,750 so like I said if its CPO you're getting one heck of a deal IMO.

^ just looked at the post and its not CPO, the only place that can CPO a car is a Lexus dealership.

That is still a pretty good deal though for the condition/year of the car.

I agree, looks like a very good deal in that kind of condition and mileage. I will suggest getting an extended warranty once you buy it so you are covered for a few more years.
