Nice work. Before I bought my 06 a month ago, I looked at the Lexus owner link and saw that the nav screen has been replaced twice in my cars past. Looks like we also need to make sure our wives avoid pot holes, especially in hot weather.

Good looking out. Hopefully won't have that problem, but I'm hesitant to mess with any electronics on the car.

Wonder how much the stealership will bill you for a fix.

I've heard its a replacement, I don't think they will fix it.

2006 GX 470

Thanks for the info. My touchscreen is not working (just after warranty) and I was told it was $8K for a new computer system. My screen is blinking but the touch panel does not work. Do you think your solution will work in my case? Any other advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Amazing - after only 50K miles. Very frustrating.

All makes sense. Went to play ball one day on the hottest day in Florida. The screen worked when I arrived at the park. When I left the car inside was over 150 and nav screen stopped working. I guess I have a project this weekend. Thank you.

I tried this fix last weekend. It was worth a shot but it didn't work for me. Just be advised not all cases are the same. I'm so pissed. Does anyone know if I can delete the nav set up and downgrade to a non nav console?

Also, the only thing that works is as follows......

I press menu... shows telephone and all the other things... when I touch ANYWHERE on the screen it automatically highlights LANGUAGE and goes back to the warning screen.
