Nope but it does have a convenient 2"x3" pass through door.

Honestly, the fact that the back seats don't fold is my only real complaint with this car.

It could be a good thing though, because I think lack of foldable backseat could provide some type of structural integrity just in cause if someone rear ends you at an angle. That's my logical take on this. I asked a BMW SA about the safety issue of the folddown backseat for this circumstance, and he did not know the answer. I think folddown backseat is a big plus if it doesn't compromise safety.

What are you talking about delphiDH?
It's the chassis and metal that holds the car together.
The seats could have simply folded down. If you probably take the back seats out, it'll probably have a big giant hold anyway. =P

Well, actually, there is sheet metal across the entire back seat. However, it easily could have been designed as a frame instead of one solid sheet just as safely.

I did not realize this till after I got the car. Kinda sucks, yet a good reason for me to use the wifes car and not get mine dirty when having to pick up a large item lol!

Since the IS was designed as a "sporty" car, the folding back seats were ditched in favor of a more solid, rigid frame. The back of the seats are there for rigidy as someone pointed out.

All the above and folding rear seats sometimes bring in added noise from outside. It's a tighter seal when all is built in.
Having said that, other car makers have managed to include folding rear seats on their sport sedans. All of which score very well in crash tests and have low noise levels. So, make your own conclusions.

It might fit one or two snowboards without the front bindings with the bottom side of the boards together. That is how I carried them through that pass through hole in my IS300.
