Default Whistle Sound at decelerating from 60mph

5k service today - Cold air-intake installed! Not a big deal but felt like mentioning to Service. At 60 mph and decelerating very faint "whistle sound", if oyu hit gas pedal it goes then re-appears if you take it off. Dealer drove, and they heard it. They have a guy who just does "sounds" (rattles, etc) he was booked today so bringing it back next week. Thoughts, threads? Not worried just curious.

thanks for the replies -BUT it happened before I had the intake put on. I brought it in for the intake and told them to check for it. The dealer heard it....before the intake was put in.

I also have a 2011 AWD is 350 and noticed the faint whistle as well. However, I've really only noticed it after the Fsport intake install.

I also hear this, I have a 2011 IS250 AWD. I have not had a chance to take my car to the dealership about this. I only notice this whistle on the driver side though and above 55 mph.

Hmm, haven't heard it on my 350. Wonder if it's an AWD thing?

Update. At Dealer and they heard it. Know that it happened before F-Sport Wheels and Intake were installed. It is not Intake related. Drove with mechanic who doesn't think it's intake. Doesn't seem to happen at first acceleration to 60 but at subsequent ones when dropping to slower speeds. Will update the thread for others who hear it.

It's an AWD differential punch pack noise. Completely normal, but if you replace diff fluid with Amsoil or Lucas, it will get noticeably quieter

I wonder how long it'll take the Lexus techs to figure that out? LOL!

Update.
Techs had car all day and believe it is the AWD System. So @Aviator409 - well done and thanks! They drove a couple 2011 AWD cars and said they heard it in each at varying levels. It really isn't an issue. I was just concerned it was something that would turn into something worse. I sent them Aviator409's comment. Will keep the thread updated. Thanks all. PS, had a 250 loaner - oiy..did I miss my 350.

Did they think it was relating to the AWD system before or after you sent them aviator's comment? LOL!

Bringing up an old thread, my 2013 GS350 AWD is doing this (same drivetrain), from 60 to 55mph. They replaced the rear diff fluid, hopefully it quiets it down a bit. Glad i'm not the only one.
