Review of my IS350 @ 95,000 miles
Well what can I say but wow! This car has definitely lived up to its reputation. Lexus' cars do impress with the rare combination of luxury, performance and reliability. I am happy to say that my 2006 IS350 has passed the 95K mark and is still running like a dream machine. Since the purchase date, the car has not had any issues, mechanical or electrical. Other than the tune-ups, tire and brake changes, the car has ran flawlessly. Everything on the car down to the exterior/ interior lights have not had any issues whatsoever.
As for the performance, I am sure the mileage has decreased the performance but to tell you the truth, its been so long since I bought it that I dont really remember how it functioned brand new. All I know is that it is still a head-snapping beast on the road. Rolling at 10-15 miles and slamming the accelerator still gives me the thrill and joy of a young kid in a candy store. The car still jumps out, pinning my body to the seat. All I can say is DAMN....this car is one sick SOB!
About 75% of the miles are highway driven as I commute 70 miles a day for work. Gas efficiency is surprisingly very good!! I pump half a tank at $30 bucks each time and get around 420 miles a week on one tank!!
Since I take care of my car really well, it is washed twice-thrice per month. Scheduled tune-ups are adhered to as well. I have Work 19s with a Joe Z intake and a Greddy exhaust. It has been slammed on some Eibachs for a while. Only cosmetic issues are the underside of my front fender from driveways but the Glacier Frost Mica still shines like new since I clay it twice a year. Interior is still very clean and mint-like cuz not too many times do I have people in the back seats...hahah.
I must say, I am thoroughly impress with the Lexus brand. I plan on driving this car down to the ground so hopefully it will still be reliable for me at the next century mark. Great stuff Lexus...this IS350 is truly my favorite car thus far. I applaud you!

Yeah...trust me...it hurts me each time I look at the speedometer! hahaha...i dont even want to see it anymore. I keep it at trip A cuz i rather not see the mileage climb. Imagine my troubles if this was a European car.

270K?!! Wow...that's impressive. Yeah...Lexus will be my brand for a long time to come. I mean dont get me wrong, I do like the handling of BMWs but they are unreliable as heck after 100K. My friends 2005 M3 is giving him crap every other month. If its not one electrical issue, its something mechanical. I just listen and smile on the inside....
