I do miss rowing through the gears though & hearing the SC whine like a typical woman.
I actually don't get much wheel hop with my setup. I'm not sure why tho.. And yes, the S/C whine is such a nice sound!

Nice clean cars! I always loved the EG and EK hatches. I would pick up an EG hatch but theft here in Cali is no joke. These cars are too easy to steal and I have many friends who had their Civics stolen, only to find a stripped car or nothing at all. I admire your OCD'ness about making it as new again as possible. I would have done the same thing.

Thanks for sharing the story...wish I could have been so lucky. So, is your Civic faster than your Lex? Power-to-weight, I believe the Civic wins!

I honestly don't know. I'm thinking it is tho. Any idea what a stock 350 will do in a 1/4 mile?

Ah I remember when I had my civic and IS at the same time, but due to 3 attempted thefts, I had to sell my civic and daily my IS. You lucked out on that find. Both cars are clean, can't wait to see what's next for them.

Stock, 1/4 mile is around 13.3 at an average : http://www.dragtimes.com/Lexus--IS350-Drag-Racing.html

So, depending your lauching/shifting skills in the Civic I'd assume a similar if not faster time with the Civic.

My Civic "race hatch" was definitely faster...400+whp D-series gutted VX hatch. Fun, but not really even streetable. Parted it out and just recently sold the hatch. But...I've still got the '95 coupe! LOL

Among all generations of Civic, I still love yours the most, especially the hatchback(EK).
