Ever since I saw the Weds SA-55M in BMR I have obsessed about them!

Problem with it is that they only make the red in an 18" rim, I debated on getting the Matte Grey and painting the white strips red, but the rim would be grey, not black, and not flow with my car.

AH! Im seriously just thinking about getting em even though they are 18"

They are hella nice. I woulda loved to have them on my MRM, but I passed up on them because they're 18" and pretty expensive at that. If you really like it, get it. I just happened to go a different route.

Price is fine, the ONLY problem is that they are 18" and I was dead set on 19" haha

What choice did you go with KUMQUATISM ?

My only other option (because I want a mainly black rim with red highlights) is the Five Axis X5

Any ETA on a 19" version of the Weds? I'd just wait it out and maybe buy some used rims for the interim. Not a fan of the Five Axis rims.

Personally, I'd pass on the Tron-like rims. Personal perference though, but I'd be going with a single matte finish wheel that resembles those Weds...like these Advan RSs perhaps :



And these come in 19" AND an assortment of offsets and widths.

Yes I've seen the advans with red trim as well!

But I personally don't know about Advan them self... quality rim?

Quality!!! I love my Advan RS. They're light as hell. Advan is the top of the line brand for Yokohama. They're cast wheels, but people say they're a special kind of cast; not your typical cheap cast wheel. Don't really see many people rocking them, which is a bonus for me.

Between the 5Axis and the Weds, I'd go Weds.
