Default Check VSC: just C1201 code

Since getting all four TPMS sensors replaced my (non-Lexus) mechanic hasn't been able to clear the dashboard on my 2006 IS350. I've got the VSC, traction control, check engine and AFS lights on. The only code that comes up is the C1201, but apparently that could mean anything.

Any suggestions?

Check the brake system and fluid level.

Thanks, I'm going to get the brake fluid flushed and re-upped and the brake pads checked next week. It's a fourteen-year-old car that I've had for six years, so I don't know the last time the fluid was ever checked (uh, probably when I had the brakes done last?).

Just got this done today and had the codes cleared. So far the dashboard is clear. Fingers crossed!

The warning lights came back on while driving today: VSC, traction control, check engine and AFS lights. Back to the drawing board.

What can I try now?

Thought I'd bump this just in case anyone had any suggestions.

Inside the reservoir is a float. Make sure it is floating. If you have a DMM, you can disconnect the wire from the reservoir ohm it out and then suck the fluid out and measure again. See if it changes.

Maybe the float sank?
Usually when low it would read infinite ohms. And full it would read like 1 to 3 ohms. That said, watch what the light does when you unplug it and plug it back in. Maybe see if you can see the float and shake it free or pull it up.

Thanks for that. Though I'm fairly certain the mechanic saw the gauge thing in the reservoir when he replaced the fluid.

It's frustrating having only the C1201 code. Seems vague.
