The G2 kit left horrible brush marks on mine. Do it right the first time and take the calipers off the car and spray them. Hell, if you can afford the down time, powder coat them.

Honestly, the best thing to do is buy G2 paint and put it into a portable or regular sprayer. My friend did that with blue G2 paint and it turned out great. You get the best of both!

I opted to spray. Both my f and 350 are sprayed. I made sure my calipers were so clean and sprayed huge amount of lite coats. No chips after 2 months. My is300 I did the same thing and after 3 years no clips.

I was the second person to order these and they actually started peeling off after driving through some rain. Not to mention, they sent 6 decals and are much smaller than what most have. The ones from MotoGFX are best even though they are $5 more for only 2 decals.

Hmmm, well I shall see what happens. I've got some high temp clear that I'll probably throw over the paint/vinyls once installed. So we'll see!

Spray ALL THE WAY....
Ive painted my calipers on 2 cars: 1st car I had to do it twice (inexperience and brush paint) and on the IS350 I used the brush the first time and it just doesnt come out perfect unless you really really know how to paint, and buy a good brush. Even then its hard to get it perfect. I took it off I was so pissed.
Then I used the spray method. did the right prep and Sprayed about 7 very very thin coats. then, over it I covered it with clear coat engine enamel. Ive had it for over 2 years and I am telling you there is no better way. Ive taken my car to the track over 10 times and beatted on the brakes and the paint is still there.

Yeah, I'm definitely going with the spray-on method. Thanks for all of the comments! Perhaps some before and after pics will be provided.

I did both. Brush first to get a thicker coat, then 2 sprays to soften the look and the caliper then 3-4 coats of clear.
