8k is going to be blue... The higher you go in terms of color temperature, the less actual useable light output you get.

8K is also horrible in the rain, I thought my headlights were off when I had 8Ks for my low beams and fogs

OP, if you want a hint of blue in your headlights go with 6K. Perfect combo of color and light output IMO

I run 6500K low beams and 5000k fogs.. the 6500 is nice and white with a blue tinge.. 5000k is pure white.. if your looking to stay close to OEM go with 5000k's

I'm also thinking about doing the HID conversion so I'm thinking about 4300K or 5000K. I like a hyper-white light so I'm leaning towards 5000K

I want to avoid any hints of blue since it may attract unwanted attention from the cops. Especially doing converting to HID from halogen is already a no-no.

As long as you don't go 10k + you should be fine.

I ran 8Ks for lows and fogs for 2 years with no issues. When the light starts to look very blue (no hints of blue or white and blue, but legit BLUE) then you will attract a lot of unwanted attention

I run 6k in both, and I like it.......good visibility, still comes out on the "white" side of white/blue

You can always go with our HID kit with Philips bulbs. The bulbs are 4300k, however they color shift to 4700k within approximately 100 hours
