EXACTLY!! I drive a 600+ whp mustang that i fabbed a one off "turbo kit" for.
im no stranger to fabrication. The 2nd gen is looks so f@#$ing good. It just deserves more power and a solid manual transmission. Many people are uneducated on the reliabilty of GM's genIII engines.
couple videos of my mustang

Stout stang you've got there. I'd like to line up with ya for a run or two down in Mexico, haha.

Now. Just do us all a favor and make it past the "talk" stage. 98% of people who talk of swaps on car forums never make it through this dreaded talk stage. You carry yourself like you know what you're talking about so I have faith in you.

That is an insanely cool idea, if you have the coin and the money, plus the LS1 will fit then go for it

Not that I am an expert but the electronics should not be an issue as most manufactures separate the engine electronics from the interior etc electronics.

Would be a sensation beast!

The LS1 is a great motor... I'm pretty familiar with it (and LT1 motors even moreso).

That said, you're looking at -hundreds- of hours of work to get the electronics to work properly if you want all the OEM stuff to work.

A guy who does toyota/lexus engine swaps for a living took at least that long to get his 2JZ running in a 250... (and still has a few lights on the dash that will never go away).

Now, if you just want to use an IS250 shell and run your own gauges and other electronics, that'd probably be a lot easier... there have been a few ISx50 drift cars that did this for example- but just about nothing OEM was left/working.

Dont listen to all the negative b.s. on here just do it. We need more people like yourself to test thru this kind of thing so hopefully in the future we could all benefit from something like this.

Do it, if I had a drivetrain lying around and the fabrication capabilities I would have already torn apart the IS250...unfortunately neither of which I have haha.
Good luck, and I'll be following for when I decide to do the same.

That would be an awesome swap. Unlike the IS-F V8, the sky is the limit for mods on the LS1 and they are relatively inexpensive. Go for it!!!

+1 LS1 parts are easy to find and you can get a lot of power relatively easily
