call ur local lexus dealer... tell them u are hearing weird pinging/claking sounds after u did the recall and get them to tow the car over... then pray it isnt anything serious or hope that it is somehow related to the recall and lexus covers it, gl.

I drove it to where i get all my work done about a hr ago, and it was fine, I have no idea....

It has not done it again, but i just took the car over to lexus and they gave me a loaner. Covered under the powertrain warranty.... So hopefully they find out what it was..

Curious to find out what it was.. and whether your dealer will say anything about the fact that you have headers, exhaust, etc.

That sound resembles something related to the valves as cover on to tight or a loose valve.

I guess 'yes'. I wonder if some sensor in the exhaust has been corrupted sending the engine controls for a wacky loop

Sounds like an injector is malfunctioning, causing misfiring causing the valve to go wonky.

But I'm just a girl. I know nothing about cars.

The lexus dealer here in nashville is pretty cool, they never see modded lex's so they always gawk at my ride and talk to me about it. All my mods have never been a issue and im pretty sure none of the mods have anything to do with that sound. it was comming from the top of the engine.
