Default Problem with my new IS 250

Hey everyone, im pretty new to this forum as well as to cars. Just got used 2010 IS 250 and it had to rebuilt in the front but still runs great. The only issue ive had is with a couple of trouble codes that are on in the dash. Attatched are the pics showing which lights are on. I was hoping to get some help from you guys if youve had experience with them or on how to fix them. Thanks!

OH my. I wonder if warranty will cover it....even if it's been in an accident? Or maybe whoever rebuilt it got the sensors put in all wonky? Any back story here?

Its actually kind of a long story, but basic facts are that it was in a crash, pretty banged up from what i remember. I bought the car practically brand new, got it fixed up body wise and everything since there was no engine problems even after the accident. Finally got it registered and running on the road but these lights and obviously that "check awd" are always there when i turn the car on which of course is gonna bother me. i was planning on going to the dealer but there gonna charge me a ****load to tell me whats wrong with it and to actually fix it its prob gonna cost me both *****...so i was wondering if anyone knew what those codes meant and how to fix them. that way i would be able to go to maybe a lexus specialist or another independent place to get it fixed at a cheaper price

But if it's a 2010 is it still under warranty? Can they turn you down even after it's been repaired?

No i havent checked the fuses but was planning to do so anyway since my lights are kind of screwy too. For example when im driving in the daytime my 2 reg daytime lights are on. However when i drive during the night my 2 projectors and only 1 of the daytime lights are on. Not to mention the smaller internal lights on the ceiling dont work...so yea i was thinking it could be fuses and/or electrical wiring. but until i take it to a dealer i wont know for sure

Yikes, this does not sound good. Let's all hope it's your fuses, because that's a lot of unrelated electronics all otherwise seeming to malfunction at once..

First thing you need to do is buy an OBDII scanner or just take it to Autozone and get the codes read for free. People won't be able to help much without the specific codes.

Take it back to whoever fixed it. They should warranty their own work.

I'm not sure how likely that is on a rebuilt salvage title car. These are the kinds of risks you take on buying a salvage title car. You get the car dirt cheap but it's for a reason; there's no longer any warranty coverage whatsoever and if you have any problems, they're basically your headaches and expenses to deal with. That's the whole reason it's so cheap; you're gambling that this particular salvage title car won't incur significant repair and replacement costs in the future. If it doesn't, you can come out ahead. If it does, depending on the magnitude it can make it even more expensive than having bought a non-salvage.

Calling this car "new" in the title and original post is a bit misleading, since this isn't exactly a car that was bought brand new at a dealer and driven off the lot in seemingly perfect condition. There's no way to ever completely ensure that everything on a salvage title car has been fixed before you buy it, that's the gamble.

Good luck with everything, I hope it's something simple like a fuse. If it's not, it will likely be extremely expensive as it seems multiple things are malfunctioning.

Your best option is to get the codes read and do some research on CL and online before taking it into the dealer.

If the car is rebuilt then you gotta stop saying yourself that it's new. It's not new. It's rebuilt, sorry to say it but it's worse than used. Didn't you see those lights when you test drove it? Or did you buy it from ebay?

unfortunately you may always have problems with the car being it was wrecked. no matter how much of a deal you got its not worth the headache unless you can do the work yourself. with all the problems and costs you may face in the future. you probably could have bought a nice used one with no accidents and less problems. good luck though
