IS-F Style Grille for '06-'08 from Option Racing (ebay)- Part 2, Installed!
#122
Changes to the ebay grill? I got my ebay isf replica grill today and noticed that it no longer has the slots behind the emblem that everyone is talking about. Instead, this emblem holder is screwed on to the grill very flush from the back and can be taken off so you have the option of going emblemless. I am painting and installing this grill tomorrow so I will give updates

And an update on my self-painted grille! When another member asked how it was holding up a couple months ago, I did notice a few chips that were only visible upon close inspection. I ended up respraying it with Phantom Gray Pearl this time and a couple coats of clear. I haven't had a chance to take pics, but will post them when I do!

Nice write up! I just did mines 4 days ago and instead wrapped the plastic L in carbon fiber di-noc but I did a messy job at cutting. Might try silver CF wrap to see how it looks instead. I like the flat black look, it matches the bottom grille nicely. I want to color match it sgm but for now it'll do.

The last time I resprayed my grille was about May 2012 and I did choose to spray it with about 4 coats of clear as well. I checked this morning and aside from a few hardly noticeable chips, it has held up REALLY well considering the amount of driving I do. I'll upload some pics later. The clear coat definitely helped and I would advise using it unless you hate the slightly shiney finish.

Thanks, I actually bit off you. will post once my car doesn't look like dookie.
I actually tried a few different dupli-color grey metallic paints. and the one you picked looked the best.
