Downtuned

I just ordered my grill for around 50 bucks. My only concern is where the emblem will be, it seems to be hollowed out, instead of there being an L shaped mold behind it. Will this be ok when installing the emblem?

Did the same grill swap by also painted it. Prepped grill by sanding and cleaning with alcohol and water. Painted it with rustoleum wheel paint (3 light coats) and cleared with rustoleum clear coat (about 4-5 coats). Here is the result (excuse the bird crap)
