At most dealerships the bumper is never included.
This is what is included; front end of hood 24' or 18" as well as the fenders. Bumper, lights, lips etc are all extra.

The problem is the dealership said they were putting a clear bra on the front end. They didnt clarify what that was and based on research and others I have asked....I assumed that meant hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, and lip.

how much was the price of your package?
i'm not too sure on dealer prices but if you paid ~350-400 for the 3M or Venture sheild film then you would have paid just for the hood and mirrors. If you paid ~500-650 then you were probably paying for the 'full' front end kit which includes the mirrors, hood and bumpers.

I paid $695.

I just picked up an 11 IS350C and the dealership tried to get me to purchase their clear bra package. Luckily I did my homework and passed. We had a clear bra on our old car and my wife didn't like the line going across the hood.

So I did a lot of research and found this ultra new PPF (paint protection film) that puts the 3M Clear Bra to shame. It's made by Avery Denison and it's called Nano Fusion. Anyway the local installer here installs them on just about every Porsche sold in the area. I had the whole front end done. This included the bumper, whole hood, front fenders, headlights, mirror, door edge and handles. Cost was $1300. I could have paid less and just done the hood or hood/bumper combo, but felt more comfortable doing the whole front end.

The problem with 3M is that their rolls of PPF are only so wide. This stuff comes in 48 and 60 inch rolls. They then use a special plotter/cutter that customs cuts the pattern to the make/model of car. I watched them do the whole thing and I was more than pleased. I would recommend these guys to everyone.

Who did your installation? I had XPEL installed last weekend by Derek Johnson at Atlanta Protective Films and I am very satisfied.

David Deering at Speedfilm. They are located in Roswell. Very pleased.

Update: I ended up talking to Lexus Corp. They decided to install the bumper and lip piece at their expense. Scheduled installation earlier today and picked up the car with the (full) clear installed.

However, this dealership showed me an area where the precious installer made a cut into the clear coat when they were installing the mirror pieces. It only went through the clear coat and didn't touch the paint. The line is about 2 inches long on the connecting piece of the mirror to re door. My question, should I call the original dealership and see what they will do? You can't see it unless you really look for it but I will always know it's there.
