All right Jeff.. Another possible solution in the works......(from the IS-F thread)

Care to share which AFS Fuse you pulled...???

I don't mind testing this theory out as well.. As long as it doesn't kill the Auto Leveling Feature.

if you go to the manual it will show you the fuse you need to pull out but I don't know about the auto leveling part because I had halogens so I don't know if it will disable your AFS feature

Pulling the AFS fuse will also disable auto-leveling.

Agreed.... So it's easier than pulling the small plug/harness out of the AFS ECU....

But NOT the solution I'm looking for... Looks like black tape inside the cluster led is going to prevail on this one..

Yes, if the IS you have has a working AFS system...

The 2011+ IS headlights do Not have AFS..

I'm thinking at this point you don't know the difference between AFS and Auto Leveling features..

AFS- the headlights angle slightly left or right when you turn the steering wheel. To help see into the corner.

Auto-Leveling- when you turn the car on, watch the headlights move up and then settle back down into their position.

Auto leveling constantly adjusts the beam level as you drive, so that it is always at the optimal position based on suspension movement and car position. AFS turns the projectors based on steering and speed input.

The AFS ECU controls both of them on 06-10 cars, and the leveling ECU controls the leveling on 11-12 cars.

what if you replace the 06-10 ECU with a 11-12 ECU, in order to avoid a blinking light in my SC430 for the 06+ led tail lights I had to replace the ECU in the trunk to an 06+
