I'm curious, do you have the Sewell kit on your car? Does the orange AFS light in the lower left corner flash on and off or stay lit? Sewell says it simply stays lit.

Only the 2006-10 models have the DRLs as the dimmed high beam. On the 2011, the LEDs are the DRLs. So I don't think the dealership did anything.

No, you didn't understand: I have an '06... the factory DRLs are the dimmed high beams... I had the dealership disable them so they wouldn't be on along with the LED strip (that would look tacky). If the dealership didn't disable them, they would be on in that first photo I showed.

For anyone wishing to do this upgrade... the pics below will save you some time and frustration. This is the end result of how the wiring in the harness connector should look to get them to function.

Also, I forgot to mention that you'll need a 2011 (HID headlight version) relay flasher to get the turn signals to function correctly. If not, they will flash rapidly as if one of your signal bulbs blew since you're technically going from 2 bulbs in each side to only 1. With the new flasher, everything will work as normal, including arm/disarm flashes. The part is $60, part # 81980-06020. Hope this helps:

I am not a fan of 2011 headlight but i found this on ebay.
400 dollars each for someone who likes them however there is one repair tab on each headlight. here is link below. not sure if this guy is legit but 800 dollar doesn't seem. here is link below

So do these 2011 lights with the HID better than other model years? I know some people said even though they had HID on there IS's it still was a crappy projector?
