Default Burning brakes?

So I did a search and only came up w new car burn smells so I'm hoping someone else has exp my situation. My car is an 08 350 w about 32k on it. I picked it up about 2 mos ago and got it cpo. The dealer told me part of the cpo was replacing the brake pads. Now every time I drive the car there is this very strong burning smell that comes from the outside of the car. I say this because I can only smell it when the windows are down. However I've tried parking it right after I smell the burning smell and put my face down by the brakes but can't smell anything?! The smell is apparent every time I drive the car and even if I just drive down the street it is still as strong as when I cruise the freeway so I'm not even sure if it is the brakes. I also figured the brakes would not smell that strong after 2 mos of driving. I have an apt w the dealer tomorrow to take it in for some other things and want to know what to point out to them so don't just tell me it's the brakes wearing in. I've had many cars all w new brakes and none have ever smelt this strong or last this long.

I thought it might have been spilled oil if they did the valve recall but it should have burned off by now. Two months is a long time. Hopefully, something is not seized.

The dealer found out what the issue was w/ my car for anyone who may have a similar issue in the future. Per the invoice from the warranty work "replaced bank 1 valve cover gasket and replaced oxygen sensor due to malfunction from oil residue on sensor".

So it was oil leaking through the valve cover gasket. Cool that you got it repaired.

I have yet to pop off the engine cover panels to actually view the inside of my IS350, but I assume that oil dipped onto the exhaust piping near/around the O2 sensor area causing the smell. I REALLY hope for your sake their wasn't actual oil on the O2 sensor filament.

The paperwork says they replaced the 02 sensor because of residue that was on it? I'm not too engine savy why do you really hope there wasn't oil on it? Something I should be concerned about?
