Default 2010 Lexus IS250 AWD. LPS Settings?

Hey everyone i am back.... sorta

Got my hands on a 2010 IS250 AWD with 8k miles on it for the lady. I'll be picking up the car tomorrow but as i was playing with the features i noticed that when i turn on the car the driver's seat does not automatically move up and into my memory seat setting which was something i did have in my 07 IS350. It just stays in the same position, now the steering wheel adjusts and tilts automatically as expected.

The car is equipped with what looks like the luxury package, illuminating scuff plates, rear sunshade, nav, bluetooth, memory seats, HIDs, headlight washers, and power tilt/telescopic steering column.

Some of the things that i'm missing is adaptive cruise, sensors, and mark levinson, none of which would be linked to the seat not doing what i want it to do...

I checked the LPS settings thread
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-settings.html

and the PDF file which is in the fourth post but nothing.

any ideas? am i overlooking something?

This is from the 2010 Owner's Manual....

Linking driving position memory with door unlock operation (driver's seat only)

While holding down the desired memory button,
press and hold the unlock button on the wireless
remote control or door lock switch until you hear a
beep.
To prevent triggering of the alarm, open one of
the doors within 180 seconds after the beep is
heard.

thank you...but it doesn't get me what i want it to do... in my 350 i picked up the car as so from the dealer...

Driver seat is automatically retracted back already. I get in, start the engine.

As i'm starting the engine... my seat automatically pushes forward into the last seat position and steering wheel comes down to last position as well.

when i stop the engine, steering wheel goes up and seat automatically retracts.

i'm trying to do what the book and you are telling me although i must be doing something wrong.

if i press and hold down memory seat and unlock button on the fob i get nothing... it says do it after you press the engine button to STOP. no alarm no nothing...

what kinda worked is pressing the memory seat button and the unlock button on the door itself after pressing the engine button to STOP. That sets off a beep

and what that does is when i open the door to get in... no matter in what position the seat is.... it goes INTO the position i set it to.

so i guess to replicate my 07... what i could do is set the memory seat to move back once i open the door... get in... start the engine and just press the memory seat number that i want to have for myself...

it's an extra step... it'll do for now but does anyone know how to set it the way i want it?

maybe i was just spoiled the first time around

i might just have to take it to lexus..

but just think about what your missing and how convenient it can be!

i'm not that tall... 5'8... so i kinda needa be close up... can't be doing the "gangster lean" and driving with my tippy toes anymore now that i'm getting older too... it's just not a good look for me. lol

but with the seat position i had in my 350 it's nice when i'm carrying stuff... it gives me enough room to carry everything in and out of the car with ease with the seat retracted back... rather than trying to squeeze myself in and any baggage i may have.
