Depends on what you're looking to do. They're a pretty reputable company. You either cut wires (voids warranty) or Buy the Prestigious Society kit (plug n play).

heres the kit

its all pnp and the little black oval on the bottom left is the switch to change either navi or dvd. i have it installed in my car and its well worth the money. theres others out there that are cheaper but really not as good. Henry (rominl) did a comparison not too long ago in the 3GS forum. I forget the name of the other kit but it looked like complete junk compared to the PS kit.

There is a much cheaper one on amazon--i paid $100 dollars to bypass the nav and NO CUTTING AT ALL. very nice overall.

I love it. Keep in mind the PS override also allows you to enter nav destinations while in motion, something the "standard" wire cutting nav hack doesn't do. There are cheaper alternatives to the PS module out there, but heard they aren't nearly as elegant and sometimes aren't even plug n play (you need to cut up and reorganize the wiring harness). Check out the review by rominl another poster referred to.

Where can you buy the Prestigious Society override kit and where can you get it installed in Northern California?

Install is pretty basic since it's plug and play, only difficult part is removing the head unit.
