Default question about lowing my IS

hello fellow club members. i am considering lowing my IS 350 AWD with the F sport lowing spring.

im just curious is the ride going to be more stiff and jittery, im not looking for a rough right due to the fact that this is my first luxury vehicle.

if i lower the car will i feel the difference in ride quality or will it hopefully be similar..

any advice would be great tks in advance

It will be stiffer and bumpier especially on OEM dampers. Any time you lower with springs the ride will get bumpier. But your cars handling will improve with less body roll.

Is it worth it? To mess up a perfectly good ride

Everyone has different opinions about it. Some people can't stand stock suspension and would rather sacrifice their ride comfort. Just really depends on how you feel about the stiffness. You lose some, you gain some.

It's not perfectly good until it's got higher performance suspension.

When you lower your car, chances are it's going to be stiffer. You are going to feel the bump a lot more and also watch for the speed bumps. Your kidneys are gonna hurt

The lowering springs will have a higher spring rate.

But it does have it's advantages... you lowering the center gravity of your car and you have less body roll... better handling.

I am now a believer in this.

I have my 350 lowered on f-sport springs and it's a little stiffer but still comfortable and you do notice that it's slightly lowered. I like it.

F-Sport Springs = Perfect Daily Driving functioning lowering springs..

I've had time to compare the ride of stock suspension vs the f-sports.
I've been on these straight from the get go and got to say that there great for daily driving.. you'll barely even notice the drop though. Just a little bouncy and stiffer.

the drop is barely noticeable thats why i didn't get em. you have to decide if you want a lil better handling or smoother ride. i have to say that the sport tuned suspension that came on my car is pretty freggin still cant imagine it any worse. its cool thought bec i knew that when i signed the papers.

It will not because the overall rim/tire combo will remain the same.

Just remember on the awd rear will alway sit lower with spring not matter which spring are used. Unlike the rwd that does'nt have the front c-bracket for the front axles. So just make sure you can live with it.

i purchased a set of Road Magnet springs for the 250 awd a little while ago to install on my 11 350 awd. should be installing it in a few weeks. stock shocks + 2" lowering springs.

p.s. lowERing, not lowing.
