how do i remove old 3M double sided tape

let it soak in wd-40 and goo gone and took a blade to it, work wonders

LOL, you did. I actually took the one off of your foor spoiler with my finger and it wasnt a good feeling at all. But when i saw it on the lip i was like heck no im going thru that crap again LOL
