^^ same here the tail lights look old.. Like what happens to the head lights when they get beat and worn out.. But if you like it that's asl that matters

yeahh, thats what alot of people told me too when i posted pic of my truck over on the xru forum... but its really one of those thing that you have to see in person!

LOL . in person it looks great, its matching color of my car and wheels. Plus my head lights and fogs are all black out....so its a good combo i'm ..... loving it lolz...

i'm using krylon exactly other guy posted. but newer version of the bottle.... great stuffs... u can use that to spray on glass for frosted glass also ....just 3 thick coats and fast drying... and u dont have to take out tail lights to paint. its better tape it.. i just want to take out to get experience DYI... for those of you that skeptical about the looks ... trust me you guys going to like it a lot.... just do it if u dont like it just use alcohol or paint thinner wipe off...

i just noticed you did it over the redouts! did the texture stay the same as the matte on the plastic part of the tail light?

I just found out that aerotect makes an overlay vinyl film for the 06-08
taillights only..

(link only shows the film but I spoke to Francisco at aerotect and confirm they do make it for our taillights)


its like $60 bucks but better than the spray IMO..
Maybe we can set a group buy so that they can give up a discount?

im thinking about doing it on a leased car. you say it is easy to remove with paint-thinner???

maybe ill look into plastidip
