I just went on "MY LEXUS" to check in on all this recall stuff and I noticed that when the car came into the dealership there was a service # and says "LO JACK INST" in the comments.

Now I bought this car new, but was a dealer trade with another local Lexus dealership (didn't have the color combo at the dealer I was at)

So the Lojack Install was done at dealership "X" but I bought the car from dealership "Y"

Dealership "Y" tried to sell me the Lojack when I bought the car, but I declined. Now it seems that it was already on the car! What do I do, to get it up and going?

I work with lojack call customer service 18004lojack and with the vin they shoud be able to charge you a small fee,not sure how much and get you going . G luck.

All they need is the last 8 of the vin.

i just picked up my 08 is250 awd last month and i think i have lo jack on my car too. This is from my service record list from lexus.com, after signing up and entering my vin.

Where can i find the serial number? i was curious about this awhile ago hahah

The name "LoJack" was coined to be the "antithesis of hijack", wherein "hijack" refers to the theft of a vehicle through force

the vin "vehicle identification number or serial number is found on the driver side door plate or windshield lower driver corner. Just call 18004lojack and tell them your car has it and you are the new owner now ,they will charge a fee to tranfer the paperwork on your name and wala. G luck

Also guys,not bacause the paperwork says lojack inst means it has it . It may be requested by the dealer but never installed or other reasons. But if you call lojack with the last 8 of your vin they will tell you if is installed on your baby or not,hope tjis help.
