Ouch. Happens more often than you might think though.

100 degrees? You must not be from the United States, or this story happens a while ago.

sorry this had to happen to you. but hopefully your car will get fixed soon. make sure the paint matches. not sure if its glacier frost mica or starfire pearl, but either way, make sure the paint matches when you inspect it. best of luck!

Sorry that happened to you and I know how you feel. I just had someone back into my car and the bumper is dented.

I have a question, is the $1,000.00 quote just for having to replace the bumper and blend?

i bought my is in august and this happened september 1, hence the 100 degrees out. i got it fixed in mid december finally, after a lot of back and forth with the truck driver and insurance companies. he didnt want it on his insurance, norfolk owned the trailer he was pulling, so they ended up paying for it, had to get a few different quotes for fixing it.

yes, it is starfire pearl...and they did an amazing job fixing it, the color looks perfect!
they had to replace the bottom grille piece because the tabs broke on that, and repainted the entire front bumper and smoothed out the bottom piece of the front bumper, took 3 days, free rental car too.

and now i avoid trucks ...and i was maybe 2 car lengths behind the truck when it happened and the tire piece hit my car going about 50 mph.

im getting a body kit soon, so i dont know if the paint protection film would have a purpose for the front bumper?
