A little introduction...
Hey guys, I’m new to the forum and picked up an 2011 IS350 F-sport back in November. This is my first Lexus and I love it! I’m so grateful for this forum, I’ve learned so much about the IS from the paint code names to the never ending 250 vs 350 debate lol. I would rank this forum one of the top forums out there.
I’m coming from an Acura and is currently an Acurazine member. That’s another great forum btw, I learned a lot as well. I still have my TL and I still use it as my DD. LOL Here she is:
1997 2.5TL aka Honda Inspire. Picked her up when I was in college. I was all about the whole “JDM” thing:
I got tired of chromie wheels and it being so clean… so I powder coated the stock rims and got her dirty LOL
Honestly I didn’t think I was going to Lexus but the direction Acura is going with their styling and that god awful grill ugh…I hate it. I mean I like how they implemented the SH-AWD in the TL but could not get over the styling. I was overdue for a new car and there was a thread discussion on Acurazine “TL vs G37 vs IS350” ..and that’s when I fell in love with the IS’s styling. Soo NICE!
What I have done so far:
F-Sport Front and Rear Sway Bars (not yet installed)
Black Pearl Emblems
GFX side skirts
LED interior / puddle lamps (thanks Brociouz!)
PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow bulbs… I want HID fogs but I’m kinda lazy to remove the front bumper. lol
Just an FYI:
Yes the GFX sides will fit on the 2011. I bought the GFX sides from Sewell.
LED interior front dome has only 2 194 bulbs not 3 for the 2011.
future mods: F-sport intake / exhaust, F-sport spring / shocks, Tom^s rear skirt (06-08), HID fogs... that's all I can think of right now.

Very impressive intro there and welcome to the forums.. Although I would have to say I disagree with the best forum statement, there are tons of good people here that don't hesitate on lending there knowledge whenever needed.

Welcome to CL. You have a great platform with the F Sport and you have experience. That will serve you well. Already doing it! Nice. I'd think of possibly coils in case you may want to go lower later. I see you weren't slammed with the Acura, so maybe you're not interested. A lot of people have changed from F Sport springs. Welcome anyways!

Nice car man, but I think it would look much better with OEM 07 heads and tails. And fortunately for you, I happen to have an 07 and as a new forum member I don't mind hooking you up with a swap. Just let me know when you wanna do it.

Congrats on the car. FYI unless the 2011 is that different you don't need to remove the bumper to install HID fogs. I got my 6000K put in by Tommy@musicbox in 15 minutes. Just pull the front wheel well liner off and it should be plug and play if you have the right kit.
